The Radical Leap

Powerful! Author Steve Farber connects to our heart and the bottom line. This book is a life changer for sure. It is entertaining, witty, and full of great wisdom. I was literally inspired by page 5 when I read, “Leadership is the art of mobilizing others to want to struggle for shared aspirations.”
The extreme leadership style is represented by, “LEAP…Love generates Energy, inspires Audacity, and requires Proof.” This book will get you feeling excited about business and ready to step up as a radical leader.
There are soooo many quotes I loved! Here are a few I want to share with you:
“Leadership is always substantive and rarely fashionable. It is intensely personal and intrinsically scary, and it requires us to live the ideas we espouse - in irrefutable ways - every day of our lives, up to and beyond the point of fear.” - So, unlike high school popularity…leadership can make you feel like you are standing on the edge all alone. Therefore, your heart and head must become allies. Jump, it’s totally worth it!
“A vision statement doesn’t generate energy, love does, great ideas do, principles and values do.” - Tell people what you believe in your own words. Then live it daily.
“Do what you love in the service of those who love what you do.” - It isn’t important, nor rewarding, to please everyone.
“This world needs you right now. The world needs your influence and your audacious action. And your actions will require you to find strength in your heart. Never let anyone tell you that your heart’s not big enough, and don’t believe the hype that the world is controlled by a select few. Nobody controls your world unless you choose to let them.” - I cannot stress enough how true this is. When you forget to show up…this world misses out. Challenge yourself to step forward and be a leader. If nothing else…remember that you hold all of the power when you have choice. And choice is ALWAYS available to you.
Happy Reading! I hope you have an OS!M very soon!
